Ingram Micro signs agreement to distribute Storgrid in the Asia Pacific region

Storgrid Signs Distribution Agreement with Ingram Micro to Expand Presence in Asia

Partnership combines advanced enterprise file sync and share (EFSS) technology and channel leadership for comprehensive on-premise customer solutions

HONG KONG, China, Jan.6 – Storgrid, an innovator in enterprise file sync and sharing (EFSS) solutions, announced the signing of a distribution agreement with the world’s leading technology distributor Ingram Micro addressing Hong Kong, Macao and the Asia Pacific Region. This partnership will help accelerate Storgrid’s presence in China and Asia, by addressing current and growing customer demand for file sync and share solutions.

Storgrid replaces insecure public cloud alternatives and consumer apps used for work with an enterprise alternative for the access and distribution of files while uniquely allowing information to be resident on existing servers and storage investments for a competitive edge. Storgrid will leverage Ingram Micro’s extensive technical and business expertise, comprehensive support resources and broad customer base to drive sales in this geography.

“Cloud computing adoption has led to concerns among companies in China about losing control over their information assets and risks of compromising corporate compliance,” said Monique Hyndman, Storgrid Channel Sales Manager for South East Asia. “With Storgrid companies can implement file sync and share solutions on-premise with secure access to business critical data implemented at their own data centers.”

The Storgrid solution is now available to Ingram Micro’s ecosystem of a value-added reseller network and other solution providers in Asia Pacific as part of its Value Solutions Group (VSG). VSG combines a high-touch, consultative sales approach and extensive technical expertise in IT environments to help partners capitalize on the demand for file sync and share solutions.

This Ingram Micro relationship extends the reach of Storgrid products to a growing number of customers looking for on-premise file sync and share solutions that have the flexibility to address the growing trend in China for a mobile workforce needing to collaborate with secure apps using a desktop, tablet and smartphone Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) device of their choice. Storgrid raises the bar of enterprise functionality with the ability to transparently access files any time and any place with advanced security capabilities such as encryption, Active Directory and LDAP integration to keep data safe.

“With a strong economy and growing success of companies in China, we are excited to be partnered with Storgrid to provide world class file sync and share solutions to our customers,” said Dirk Doets, Senior Managing Director of Ingram Micro. “There are many products in this market but we were attracted to the Storgrid software based platform to enable a collaborative environment for customers of all sizes demanding secure enterprise class file sharing capabilities.”

We are making a big investment to be the file sync and share leader in the Asia Pacific market and we are excited to have a world class partner like Ingram Micro that provides the highest level of support to local channel partners and their customer community, said Rob Christ, CEO of Storgrid. “With our combined resources and expertise, we are looking forward to fast growth and adoption of the Storgrid products in China and the Asia Pacific Region.”

Ingram Micro is offering local service and support to customers of the popular Storgrid software and providing its world class managed services to ensure happy and successful long term relationships with customers implementing these file sync and share solutions.
